  7.       - Outputs a reminder consisting of a user-supplied
  8.         text string following a user-defined time interval
  9.  
  10.       - Time interval can be based on either a:
  11.  
  12.            -- Standard clock (HH:MM AM/PM), or
  13.  
  14.            -- Duration (HH:MM:SS)
  15.  
  16.       - Reminder can be:
  17.  
  18.            -- A Workbench screen-based pop-up window 
  19.               with optional Workbench screen flash
  20.  
  21.            -- Spoken via the AmigaDOS "Say" command
  22.               (see "Requirements")
  23.  
  24.            -- Both the above

  26.       - Spoken reminder is tunable as follows:

  28.            -- Choice of Male/Female/Natural/Monotone voice

  30.            -- Selectable speed

  32.            -- Selectable pitch

  34.            -- Test button allows you to hear the spoken reminder
  35.               so you can checkout your "tuning" prior to committing
  36.               the reminder

  43. Requirements

  45.       - AmigaDOS 2.04(+) 
  46.  
  47.       - 68000(+) CPU

  49.       - To utilize the spoken reminder option, you must have
  50.         the following files present:
  51.  
  52.            -- L:speak-handler
  53.  
  54.            -- LIBS:translator.library
  55.  
  56.            -- DEVS:narrator.device
  57.  
  58.            -- SYS:Utilities/Say
  59.  
  60.         Note that the above is the standard "speech" software
  61.         distribution and placement for AmigaDOS 1.3 and 2.04.
  62.  
  63.         Commodore ceased distribution of these files beginning
  64.         with AmigaDOS 2.1.
  65.  
  66.         If you have upgraded to AmigaDOS 2.1 and/or 3.0, you
  67.         should be able to copy these files from your original
  68.         AmigaDOS 1.3 and/or 2.04 distribution disks.

  70.         Finally, the exact location of the "Say" program can
  71.         be adjusted via the SAYLOCATION Tooltype (see "Icon
  72.         Tooltypes").  That is, the "Say" program does NOT have
  73.         to be in the SYS:Utilities directory.

  76. Limitations
  77.  
  78.       - Can only be used from the Workbench (start via Icon)
  79.  
  80.       - Only 1 reminder per program execution is supported
  81.  
  82.       - Once set, no method of canceling a reminder is provided
  83.  
  84.       - Previously set reminders do not survive system reboots
  85.  
  86.       - A maximum period of 24 hours is supported for both duration types
  87.  
  88.       - Reminder was developed on an A1200 and A4000 running AmigaDOS 3.0
  89.  
  90.         I do not have an AmigaDOS 2.04 or 2.1 system to test on
  91.  
  92.         Therefore, I cannot guarantee that the program will work
  93.         100% correctly under 2.04 or 2.1 
  94.  
  95.         Please let me know if you have success using Reminder on either
  96.         a 2.04 or 2.1-based system
